Week 2 as a 1L

Yesterday marked the half-way point in my second week of my first year of law school. I'm gonna try to catch this blog up on the past three weeks: my farewell parties, my move to Durham, my first impressions throughout Orientation Week, and discoveries I've made in the past two weeks of class. Perhaps I'll have a chance to get organized on Blogger over the upcoming Labor Day weekend.

For now, just a list of random thoughts I'll need to organize:
* 11pm bedtime doesn't mean get ready for bed at 1am
* if the above situation occurs, I inevitably feel like crap and groggy the next day
* It's so difficult to pay attention in CivPro
* I'm running for 1L Class Vice President but am anxious about campaigning
* I need to get a good desk chair because the one I'm borrowing from my roomie makes my butt and feet go numb
* I like the non-group study-group but should work on the subject everyone else is working on
* I can spend all the time in the world making a cute little schedule for my day-to-day activities, but if I'm not actually sticking to it, the time has been a complete waste
* I need to develop some serious self-discipline
* Apparently study time does NOT include book-briefing, which constitutes class preparation
* I bought mostly new books, but on second thought, the highlighting from previous students is helpful (albeit distracting)
* I have yet to figure out how to switch focus between classes when it comes to reading/studying
* that parking deck is a punk and a total waste of money
* this is probably my first instance of school pride, aside from elementary school
* I'm gonna join the BSLA even though I'm fish-belly white
* Upperclassmen can be total saviors
